SCAM - text from this number. Claiming to be UPS and asking for payment to redeliver a parcel (which they said they tried once but I was 'out'). I had been home all day and I wasn't expecting a parcel. I suspect the next thing they'd ask for would be credit card details. I blocked them.

The woman told me she was from a Talk Talk department and was calling about my router. After making her repeat the same thing several times I told her I had had the same or similar calls about 150 times, knew she was nothing but a criminal and.....by that time she had rung off! The remarkable thing is this is just one of a number of calls I ve had about a minor car accident I had about a year ago. My phone number was given to my insurance company ( a reputable company I ve always thought ) someone passed it on to these chancers. We talk about the rising menace of fraud and scams, this practise of selling on customers details has to stop. Whatever happened to the data protection act?
