Phone rang and they hung up

Missed call

This number keeps ringing me up to six times per day, but as I do not answer until phone has rung four times, by the time I answer there is no one there. I am getting extremely fed up with this.

Indian sounding person said his name was John called claiming to be from BT and that our internet connection could be accessed and our personal information could be compromised. he asked me to go on to my computer and he will guide me through what to do. Then i Put the phone down.

This number called me today saying that they had been passed my information after a car accident. Once I had indicated that this was false, they hung up.

Bad line and almost unintelligible guy at the other end. Took me 3 goes before I heard the words PPI, then told him I was at work and I hung up. The guy didn t even seem to know what he was saying when I asked what he was calling for. Script based nuisances.

They call me to tell me I won a family holiday and they asked if I own my home and if I am between 30-60 years old, and then they asked if our annual income is over £30,000 and when I said no she said that I do not qualify.

Very untrustworthy, completely dishonest, sadistic. Stay away beware!

Called asked for Emily Simmonds. I told them that I didn t anyone of that name and that they must be operating a scam of some sort. They got quite stroppy when I told them this and eventually hung up. I ve been called several times before by different 0330808 numbers, always asking for Emily Simmonds.

This number was supposedly called at 8.05am on a Sunday morning from my TalkTalk phone. Followed almost immediately by at 4 minute call to 08444930787 (BA number) definitely not us and TalkTalk are investigating

Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". Insurance scam fishing call

Called asking for my pension details saying they need to send out some new documents. Felt uncomfortable half way through call & asked them to confirm my scheme number. He couldn t & said their info appears to be wrong. He was very friendly & polite but nothing rang true. He said he will confirm his info & ring me right back. He didn t but I rang my pension company who confirmed it was nothing to do with them & they ll investigate. Fraudsters, do not tell them anything!
