Automated call - said there was suspicious activity in my account which is when I hung up and checked my account which was fine so I think this was a SCAM. If there had been something untoward with my account, my bank would have called me with a real person not an automated version. 17/08/22

Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.
Trying to suggest that two sums of money had left my account. Usual request to press a key. No introduction, no company or bank name. Very poor scam attempt. It may fool some people.
Caller claimed to be from Microsoft, and there was a problem with my computer. I hung up after a couple of minutes, caller did not call back. The caller new my name and address.

Wanted me to load an app on my phone so she could show me what the issue was with the router. Not happening I said. Got accused of arguing with her. Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.

Fraud. Got a call I didn't answer. They left a voice mail it wasn't a person it sounded like a generic message. It said there was something wrong with my financial account and then said I'll be arrested ( they spelt out the word arrested) I have 2 phones the one they rang is the one I use for fam/ friends it's not the one attached to any of my bank account/ online shopping. There is absolutely no reason any business should have that number.
