As with the comments above I received two calls from HMRC saying they were filing a lawsuit against me. I was told to press 1 to speak to a case officer who had a strong Indian accent, asked me to spell my name and confirm my address (which I didnt and put the phone down).

Had a call from an Indian chap asking to speak to a woman I ve never heard of so I indulged him to try and find out what he was calling for. He said they were a debt consolidation company so I asked who was financially backing them. He said he couldn t tell me so I advised him that the information should be public knowledge and available from Companies House. It is a Decision Direct company - who deals with claiming back PPI - They were a bit shady with my information so I ended the call.

callers are aggressive and intimidating, threatening home visits and obtaining un manageable payment plans under duress. They never put anything in writing or offer an email address for contact.
