Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Received a call from an unknown telephone number at 09 42 I was informed that a large amount of money had been taken from my current bank account and they wanted to know my security code etc . I didn't give them any information despite their pressure. The number that rang me was the following 01722741109. I felt it was possibly a scam caller . Can you advise

Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

When 'agent' was asked who they were from just said the call was sent through to them and hung up.....need I say more...... potentially phishing

SCAM sounds like background noise in a call centre, couldn't understand who she was saying she was from and sounded as if Indian/Pakistani.

I wish I had discovered this website earlier. Adam, the person who has this number has ghosted me twice. He has lied to me as well, pretending he was single when he wasn't. Details are irrelevant and the fact that his number has been searched over 360 times says a lot. Avoid at all costs.
Claiming to be from Microsoft to say they have detected hacking on a computer, which is not switched on (not plugged in to a power supply). He threaten to cancel the Microsoft Licence Number saying - that Microsoft would not support the product and the computer could no longer be used!
Banking scam. Fake recorded message saying unusual transactions have occured on your account and to press 1 or 2 to speak to an adviser. A bit of a stupid scam, because you simply check your banking app on the spot and see there's no pending transactions!

I received the number 01223933956 this morning. Claimed to be a Sean with a very heavy Indian sub-continent accent, from BT Outreach claiming there were problems with my internet. I engaged with him, to spin him along so he would have less time with more vulnerable people but when he realised what I was doing he became very abusive.
