Silent call Supposedly from a debt collector service but when I answered the phone it was totally silent and call was terminated after a few seconds from their end. They have called me once a day around the same time for the past week or so.

Caller purported as acting as 3rd party for a Finance Company which I have just used (so far so good). Wasn t happy when started to ask for relatively minor details (address/post code) so caller advised not prepared to discuss further. Not content with my perspective of "This is unsolicited, from a number I don t recognise, and you ve advised you are as acting as a 3rd party" tried to push on. (me or one of my sons) he said he would have to check with the insurance co and hung up. Things to note: None of the Mr ... on this number have had a car accident. The caller spoke in a very strong northern English accent. The line was really bad - he called a landline home number

Called me and hung up immediately the ansaphone cut in. Tried calling them back but got a message that the number dialled had not been recognised. I suspect that it s a Skype type call from a foreign country - they usually come up with a number that looks like a uk STD code but could be from anywhere in the world.

SCAM Some foreign (Indian as usual) scammer phoned and asked Mr (me by name) I answered yes and they said they were (English name, obviously made up and theirs for the day) and from Life Insurance. Then asked how I was doing and when I replied they just hung up. HOW RUDE! Pity really, as I pride myself on keeping them on the line as long as I can.

I am getting numerous calls on a daily basis from 020 numbers - this one is the most frequent. Never leaves a message and when I answer no-one is there.
‘Discount utilities’ - I called the number back because I’ve been getting daily calls! Annoying! Seems to be a call centre cold calling
