Scam HRMC impersonator, claims to be from a London Address with a Manchester Phone Number... overseas dial tone, clear scam attempt.

Probably a scammer used a spoofed but valid UK number.

Surprisingly after introducing himself as from Energy saving solutions he asked if I was abroad - this is surely suspicious.

My girlfriend recieved a call from that number and it sounded like someone crying

Recorded message that I was involved in a fraud case and hed to press '1' to be connected to the officer in the case!! As a retired Police Officer I found it amusing but my elderly F-I-Law would fall for this sort of nonsense.They need prosecuting not me at nearly 76!!!!!!

Optical Express - they called as I had made an inquiry online about laser eye surgery but they rang 10 times over the space of a few days, didn t leave a message or text/email to say who they were. It really has put me off using them as I can imagine they will harass me if I do go for a consultation.

I rang the 0800 number below and although Nena Patel doesn t work their any longer , I spoke to a very helpful man called Alex who listened carefully and checked which survey I was being called about. He then took my number off the list and said I would no longer receive calls about that survey. It is payday UK. It will be to discuss any outstanding loan you have/remind you of any upcoming payments. Guy spoke saying that he was calling from thrre mobile....unintelligible........then asked for me by surname then....muttered something else unintelligble...thsen said for me to disregard this call......freaky.....suspect my payment this month has been stopped by the bank or something lol
