Automated call, phone today, Saturday asking for ***** press 1 if this is you, which it wasn t, but still went on with ref number and when to call their office, then gave a totally different number to the one shown on my caller id. Me thinks it is either ppi or debt collector? Looking at the comments, it looks like debt collector. The government should look to ban these scumbuckets! If you owe money then it should be the the people you know that chase you, not these rats!

He rang off when I asked a few questions about their company [difficult to hear what he said at this point] and how he came by his information. Usual garbage, but sounded British. This might be a follow up from a so-called survey I foolishly agreed to go through a few days ago - and during which I asked NOT to be contacted from, I assume, the people instigating it in the first place. Rings me 4/5 times a day. Only answered today and the lady asked for the account holder. I said to her that I knew it was a scam and she hung up. Now I only get a call 1/2 times a day. very sad.

Nuisance caller. I will prosecute this person for cold calls. Sometimes there is no answer when I lift the receiver; sometimes a female voice says "hello" and hangs up. They may have set the number so that when people dial "1471" the nuisance caller is still on the line and instead of the BT response to 1471 my phone is rigged to dial the caller s number. I am contacting the police with a view to prosecuting the caller for being a pest.
