Lady claimed that unknown to myself I have a bitcoin account open in my name with 4.5 bitcoin in it. All I needed to do was prove my identity and she would kindly sort out how I could activate the account and claim my money. It had apparently been opened accidentally when I had clicked on an advertising link. Isn't that just too good to be true?

This number has called me twice today. I foolishly answered it the first time to find the person at the other end put the phone down after I said hello and I ignored it the second time. Don t want any more calls thanks so added to my rejected list! :-(
So fed up with my phone buzzing re these calls. Have blocked it but phone informs me when they ring. Also my 97 yo dad is getting them. Now that does make me angry!!!!

I have just called it back on my work land line (using 141), and received a message saying I was called today by their "Events Team", who will call me back! A Total Scam: 02075467402 - They reckon that they were HM Revenue, calling about my taxes. I needed to press 1 to speak to someone. If I Do Not. A WARRANTwould be issued for my Arrest. It really is LAUGHABLE but Sad, They are trying to put Fear into people who are going through a terrible time in this Covid Lockdown period. They need to REMEMBER that they also have a Mother, Family because KARMA Springs to Mind. The caller was from Northern Ireland.

Nuisance caller. I will prosecute this person for cold calls. Sometimes there is no answer when I lift the receiver; sometimes a female voice says "hello" and hangs up. They may have set the number so that when people dial "1471" the nuisance caller is still on the line and instead of the BT response to 1471 my phone is rigged to dial the caller s number. I am contacting the police with a view to prosecuting the caller for being a pest.

It's a home appliance insurance scam. They called my elderly mother and tried to make her think it was her existing insurance company but it's actually a fak-ish looking company called J&L Home Assist. They tried to get my mum to hand over her bank details and persisted even when she said she wasn't comfortable doing that. A bit of investigation reveals that there are a number of similar fake companies doing the same thing, all claiming to be in the Bournemouth area.
