Nobody spoke when I first answered then a woman came on and then a man asking about an accident I had had the day before that wasn't my fault.

She claimed that she s from an insurance company of sort, and said that my car was involved in a car accident. I don t even have a car.

Have tried me five times. Have not answered as don t know anyone from Harrogate

Like others have said, AO.com trying to sell extra coverage for the appliance. I d seen here that s what they were doing but answered in the end as I was worried they might not deliver it if I didn t, since people had said they asked delivery details. In the end they just repeated what the website had said already regarding the delivery, and then pushed quite hard on the extra coverage, which I really didn t want - I bought from AO.com to save money, not spend extra! The delivery info just seems like an exc

I've had a call from this number claiming they are from my bank Halifax, i notice the area code is Halifax but i'm not sure if this is a scam call.

This number has rang twice today but didn?t get past my Truecall system. If it was a legitimate call, they would have followed the instructions to start through the system.

Keeps calling, last phone call when they asked to speak to me I replied," No you can t, she died last week. Needless to say tthe following day , guess what?, they rang again. An idiot rang me from this number stating that he could get me refunds for all of any of the loans, credit cards and mortgages that I d ever had during my lifetime. I told him that I didn t have any just to get him off the phone to which he replied that I WAS A LIAR. Admittedly it was a white lie, I just wanted rid of him, but he then went into an incredible abusive rant, the like if which I have never encountered before. Sounded Chinese but couldn't tell a word they were saying. Passed onto several others with similar language problems. Very persistent and carried on when I suggested they were scammers, didn't stop till I put the phone down

Probably a scammer used a spoofed but valid UK number.

Told me I had claim back on insurance hidden in mortgage and eventually...after I d been very cynical and searched online, asked for my expiry date and then said needed long card number on credit card not linked to my mortgages for a check. When I said this didn t make sense they hung upM. Give them nothing!
