This was a call from a person saying they were from Virgin Media reporting that our internet had been hacked on numerous occasions to cut a long story short I was asked to download the TeamViewer App onto my iPad so they could “put everything right” they were very convincing and I foolishly parted with some money before my switched on son overheard me and hung up the call, I have deleted the app and contacted by bank to report the “Scam” I wanted to forewarn everyone if they receive a call hang up immediate

I used him to check if my info actually was leaked and then I rejected the transaction and cancelled my card lol. Pretty funny call, although dangerous to those who aren’t very IT literate. Recorded message, woman's voice claiming to be from my 'bank security' (name of bank not specified), advising that 2 payments had been made against my card, to Amazon and an overseas transfer. An obvious criminal scam. Number now blocked and reported to ICO.
Safe number noticed this number once every month on my telephone bill with a monthly charge of 14p. Turns out it is an automatic test call from PPP Taking Care alarm which we have for elderly mother. Called them to ask why we are being charged as we pay a quarterly handling charge. They very kindly switched this to a freephone number so no more charges.

This number called something about housing maintenance for housing maintenance or housing association. Saying i was in one of these. Not correct. Rang off. When i phoned it back it came up as not in use,???? Be careful.
