SCAM - Unsolicited phone call from a number I didn't recognise. Answered but didn't speak and heard only silence. After five seconds the call hung up so no doubt an automated system that waits to hear someone's voice. Without a doubt a scam.
Probably not a call from Orpington - there was a clicking before a connection was made suggesting a spoof number. A south asian female voice asked for me by name. I said not me and asked who she was. The call was then immediately ended at her end. In my view this is highly likely to be a dangerous scam call.

SCAM This number was the first of three (others were 0208 888 7676 and 01782 254545) which I received on 17th and 18th July 2023, telling me I had security problems with users accessing my computer files. Received an email from ' PAYPAL' about a fruadulent activity of £899.99 I contacted the above number and they sent me a 6 digit security number to my mobile and also told me my last 4 digits on my card !!! All seemed very legit..........UNTIL he told me he needed my full card number to put a stop on a further 12 transactions !!! I rejected his request which he seemed to start getting annoyed and agitated !! THIS SEEMS A VERY PROFESSIONAL SCAM DO NOT REPLY TO THEM .

Called on 10th Feb 2023. Man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. Told me our IP address had been hacked and changed from a UK to a US one. Obviously total rubbish and scam. Wanted me to speak to a 'very knowledgeable engineer' to connect to my computer and 'fix it'. No doubt wanted me to connect to and open a scam website. He eventually hung up when I told him I was actually a network engineer but was quite persistent.

Called six times 13th April 2023 during the course of the day from late afternoon right up until 19.27hrs, no messages left, we don't answer our landline, just for broadband and anyone that knows us will call our mobiles, so expect this is some sort of sales call or scam, blocked it, definitely don't wanna be talking to anyone from Vietnam, Binh Dinh, really, unwanted nuisance calls!
