I had a phone call from 02922229992 clalming to be Eon, who asked if I wanted a 'Smart meter', they wanted my account details.... RED FLAG!!!!! Eon SHOULD have my account details - well, they certainly had my phone number. I contacted Eon and they told me to block the number it wan't them....! To be hones't I wondered if this was some dirty trick Eon had dreamed up - how would THEY know I had no Smart meter..... and how did they get my phone number, no prizes for guessing sorry. Unsolicited email recording phantom purchase via Paypal and to call this number for any queries. Had 2 today so far from different (false) gmail addresses. Says "The sizzling product is being packed," - wow, are they sending fried sausages!

Ignored number as never answer ones I don't know. Suspected it was a scam, confirmed by others here.

Automated call pretending the to be a bank in poor english

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,

Claimed to be calling from 'MES' about life insurance. Smelled like a scam right from the off, so it mostly like is. Probably just best to hang up and ignore them. If it's important and a genuine issue they'll just write to you.

Automated voice saying authorisation required for a payment of £600 pending on my mastercard/visa and to press 1 if I didn't recognise. Ended call immediately and reported.

SCAM Called about a non existent accident in January 2022. It seemed to be a follow-up call to the one I had this afternoon when I gave the date of the accident as January 2022. That call came from 0208 050 5310.

Declined the call because was flagged as potential spam. Then I Googled it to find out that it didn't register on Google as a known number. Super suspicious. So I'm blocking the number. Anyone wanting to contact should have my email address.
