Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. A call with an automated message about a case being filed against me by HMRC. I have barred the tel. no. (01618 506868) as a scam. Be aware that if you call back, someone might answer as if HMRC. The foreign gent sounded unsure of himself when I queried his being with HMRC, so I laughed and said "I don t think so!"and hung up.

SCAM, threatened to take to court and prision if money not paid for 'tax fraud', had me go to supreme court uk website, when i mentioned the supreme court website says they are aware of hmrc scams and that these scams are 'asking for money and making threatening statements, for example claiming the UKSC has a warrant out for their arrest' as they did in this phone call the woman hung up and blocked me

SCAM / SPAM I received an automated voice call from this number at 12:31, supposedly from Amazon Prime informing me that over £70 had been deducted for my membership and I should press "1" to speak to someone to discuss this. I hung up. I am not a member of Amazon Prime and have had calls like this before. I expect if I had spoken to someone, they would have asked for my bank account details so they could cancel it.

although a pontefract code , Chris reckons he is from DFS in Head Office Doncaster. Even stating his postcode as DN6 7NA. He further states, saying there are hundreds of people at doncasetr DFS who could have phoned me here in Shrewsbury despite NO connection whatsover.
