Sales call most likely. Obviously a call centre caller. reading from a scriopt. Told me about package put together for solar panels in my area but couldn't tell me what area I was in, just kept repeating that I should raise any issues with call back representative. I put the phone down.
I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. They said they were local authority and asked if I needed any repairs, any dampness etc. I asked who had contacted them and this did not make sense. I put the phone down on them. She gave me no information whatsoever and the background was silent.
Called by these people offering a free loft roof space check, assured no money involved but if anything detected we would have two years to decide. Loft space checked and said to be in poor state for mould and decay of boards, told it would cost £8k to fix but if we went onto the express service it would be £6,400 but we had to book in right away. We asked for time to think about it and he then appeared to call a colleague who agreed to lower price to £6k but we must firm immediately. We declined.

Unannounced, unnamed Caller said I had a number of unauthorised transactions to a value of £2300 on my debit or credit card. Press button 1 to authorise the transactions or another number to speak to a team.
Reckon they are from Amazon and put a hold on my account due to a transaction for £700+. Press one to speak to an adviser. Needless to say I hung up.

I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel
The chap called me and said he had a missed call from me to his mobile number. I have not called anyone today. So no clue who he was or what company he was from.

01615323513 is a SCAM number. Called me at 08:55hrs 11 April 2022, purporting to be from Microsoft saying that I had a problem with my computer. I do not have a Microsoft computer so this was clearly a scam and the number 01615323513 has now been blocked.

Claimed they from smart insurance & company changed from original. They knew lots of info about insurance. Asked for acc details, put phone down and immediately rang my appliance insurance company and they said they havent been taken over by smart insurance. I felt relieved that i hadnt given out my bank details but its shocking how lnowledgeable they were and the information they currency had on it. Blocked immediately. Pls beware and be careful.
