Indian male called Alex purporting to be from BT telling me I had a problem with my internet and they were getting urgent error signals. I knew it was a hoax call, had them before, so asked him twice what the signals were and he put the phone down. I googled the number that came up, 01438 318251 and its for a homeless shelter in Stevenage. Indian scammers using business numbers for those that really need help! Sick b$%^A$%s!

This is a scam. Pretending to be from your bank and talking about problems with your debit card and asking you to press 1 for more information.
I tried to call back , number not recognised, message left was just static.

Randomly called said she was from sky and said our internet is slow. Tried to get us to download and app called quick support. This app allows people to remotely access your phone. Very dangerous as the can get so many details this way. We questioned her and she hung up. Called back and metro express answered, Im guessing this number is used for numerous amounts of scams. They call you and ask you to chose an option via an automated audio. This will likely re-route your call to a premium number that they own. It is not a legitimate caller so do not answer it.
The number claims to be calling from O2 with a promotion. However it is spam (as I am not with O2).
SCAM - supposedly from British Gas but the promised confirmation email from them has not arrived.
Called back after an hour, this time it was answered and they are a company trying to re-surface your drive. Nothing like dealing with local companies, we are on the south coast and they are in Doncaster!!
