SCAM He said he was calling from 3, in their promotions department. He was given my number and not my details as he was only in the promotions department. I'm not with 3. He asked me to confirm I was the account holder by providing my personal details. I refused. SCAM

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. Female Indian subcontent voice, breaking up badly. Managed to hear something about 'BT Openreach'. Clearly leading to some form of scam so told her where to go to.
This and another similar number called my land line and I called the one above back, as I was waiting for a call, but there was no reply Within five minutes a foreign man called back and stated I had phoned him a few minutes before. When told I was responding to a call from him, he insisted I had called him an hour ago (impossible as no one was home), and his attitude changed to verging on verbally aggressive. I hung up. A couple of my friends told me something similar had happened to them
