This UK mobile number called my mobile and it was an automated voice saying it was about my "Visa OR Mastercard" (which one?) and that £600 had been spent on it 15 minutes ago. Press 1 to stop the payment. I did not press anything and hung up.

Claim to be BT for an upgrade the English person on the phone made me think its legit but it is 100 a scam I phoned BT back on the number on my bill and they said its a scam they had my contract end date wrong also they ask for a 4 digit pin they text to your phone BT NEVER ASK FOR A SECURITY CODE THAT HAS BEEN TEXTED TO YOUR PHONE THIS SCAM NEARLY GOT ME NOT BT

Called as EE was unaware of my address and didn’t also know my full name, could hear a lot of people shouting in the background, 100% a scam

Searched Google and found they are being looked into by the FCA as they are unlicensed and are trying to sell services or products with out being registered. Said they were contacting me about a problem I had with my house - suggesting it was rented / local authority. It's not so I said they had the wrong number and they hung up. Caller had very strong Indian accent, everytime I've spoken to EE they've had UK based centres, also when questioned about call origin she wasn't sure where call was routed from...very suspicious Definitely seemed very scam-like
