I have been telephoned this afternoon – apparently by EE – to tell me that I was getting a 45% discount on my bill for the next year? I was then passed on to a supervisor to confirm my email address – which I did. They then said that they would email me and I would need to change the password to EEdefault19: at this point I told the caller I would hang-up.

This is a scam. They are saying they are from BT, however the following is true (as I worked for BT for 36 years). 1 - BT do not ring you on a mobile number (unless and engineer has an appointment at your house that you know about). 2 - The phone is registered to Vodaphone, BT do not use any other networks for their own use. 3 - He could not give me my BT account number. 4 - He said he was from Millenium City London, this mobile number is located in Manchester! This number belongs to a foofing contractor. I can't remember the company name. I have been messaging him asking for an invoice for work he has done but he seems very reluctant to give me the invoice. I am trying to track down the company name.

Very demanding woman, said she was from BT and wanted to fix my router problem. There’s nothing wrong with my router. I disconnected when she started asking me to press certain buttons on my phone.

SCAM Advised trying to sell life insurance, got my information from Marketing Department, advised they knew my name but did not address me with my name and when I asked what other personal information they had for me, and where they had got it from, they hung up. I think they have bought personal data to make these calls and this is a scam

SCAM: Claims to be from Microsoft. Also called from 01494727839. Hassling my 80 year old parents, being quite aggressive and suggest they call 0344 8002400 to prove from MS!
