Had a call today saying that they were a new company setting up in my local area and they already had a company in Leeds. Asked me if I drank water. Said no - he was surprised! Then said he didn t blame me. Asked if I would answer a few simple questions to be entered into a prize draw for a holiday. Told me if I won (which was very likely) then he would deliver the tickets to me in person at my house tomorrow. Similar story to many of the above, claim that the 3rd party in an accident is making a claim and I should too, very poor line on the one occasion someone did speak otherwise it just hangs up after I answer. Tried calling back and it just goes straight to hold music indefinately.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
