Fraud. We get a lot of these calls proporting to be UK numbers. Line cuts off a couple of seconds after pick up. This is an auto-dialer checking that someone will answer that phone number. Between 2 and 24 hours later we will get a call from a different number with someone pretending to be from BT, Virginia Media, Talk Talk, Amazon.... Number now blocked

SCAM Automate machine saying I have been charged (x amount of money ) on my amazon account, if I would like to cancel to press 1 or any other to contact that number. I just hung-up, came to check but the number did not show any records , so went to my amazon account, nothing has been charged.

I keep getting calls from this number annoying
Pretending to be from Virgin Media; "Hello my name is Carol, I'm calling from Virgin Media" with thick Indian accent and noisy call centre background. Asked which part of London this Virgin Call centre is in. She replied "Canberra", maybe confused with Australia? I asked if she's sure she's not from Kerala or Calcutta to which she replied with "muder fu**er, F**k you".

Optical Express - they called as I had made an inquiry online about laser eye surgery but they rang 10 times over the space of a few days, didn t leave a message or text/email to say who they were. Turns out it is a local call number for an American selling investment advice, so best avoided.
They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.
Didn t get to answer so not sure if scam.
