I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

recorded message saying my VISA had been used fraudulently with a payment of £400 to Amazon and £700 to Wester Union and as I had never used Western Union it was suspicious and to press one to talk to someone. They have blocked the employer from withdrawing and also the group Whatsapp which is suspected to be a fraudulent platform. Please help and also communicate wema bank to verify the account beneficiaries.

This is a scam number, they pretend to be from Carphone Warehouse. As soon as I mentioned I don’t need anything, he ended the call. It was from a noisy Indian call centre. I blocked the number and added it here.
07363953461 is a FAKE scam CLI being used by an offshore call centre. They call folks and pretend to be calling from BT, regarding error logs received from your internet connection. The idea is to ask you to download remote desktop software to gain access to your computer, then attempt to bamboozle you with made up technical nonsense whilst in the background they copy your files and internet settings in the hope that yo have stored online banking credentials.
SCAM Upon connection there was an electronic tone like you used to get with Skype. Man with thick accent tried to interest me in a motor accident I recently had and had “forgotten about”. When I said no I hadn’t had one I was immediately disconnected. This is not Aberdeen, it sounds more like India.
