I received a letter purporting to come from Lloyds Bank referring to a conversation that had not taken place and asking me to complete and sign a form giving details of my back account, sort code and memorable wo. The letter looks genuine, uses a genuine Lloyds address and gives this number to call with questions.

He was momentarily interested in sending it to my laptop until I told him it was a work issued laptop. He clearly hadn't heard of TPS. When asked to remove our details from their database he became aggressive and said he would disconnect our phone at our address. He knew our address because he read it out! He then put the phone down when I said in the background we were connecting to the police.

Was very insistent that I had a serious internet problem, in the end I just hung up

My bank do not use a Manchester address and certainly wouldn’t use a pre recorded message.BEWARE
