Received a call on my mobile at around 11.30am, and was told I had a refund via PPI from a credit card or loan. Had to ask me which one and from which bank. (Should know all this before calling me, how else would they know if I m owed anything?) Besides the point, I have never had a loan and the one credit card I had was from over 10 years ago and has been delt with a long time ago, so I know I m not owed anything. When you answer your phone and if it s a number you don t recognise, DON T SPEAK JUST LISTEN! Wait for the caller to speak first and then decide whether to simply put the phone down. If it s a recorded message, it ll nearly always be a scam or a computer dialling a batch of numbers in sequence and trying to assertain if the number they have just dialled is a voice line. i.e. a private phone number. The call has been placed from one of Repsol Sinopec s offshore installations. It is very unlikely to be for marketing purposes. More likely it is an offshore worker trying to call home.

They called to say my card was used abroad, press 1. Lucky l did not answer their call

Carphone warehouse. Constantly calling on variety of numbers. So annoying. When I do answer a different number and it's them again, I am very short with them.

Told me they were calling as id applied for a loan which had been declined. I haven t applied for any loasns and she kept insisting I had but said she couldn t tell me where id applied due to confidentiality. In the process of buying a house and the only loan id applied for was a mortgage which is already in place so very disconcerting. When I tried to question her she tried to end the call. Clearly a scam.

I have blocked their number but somehow they are managing to leave unintelligible voice mails. Can anybody help me stop them. They are a SCAM!!

Don’t know it can’t call back

I ve just been called by this number, when I picked up the call, there was no sound, no answer, so I ended the call, then got a withheld number calling literally a minute later, which went to voicemail (the message was unintelligable). Then a minute later I got an SMS to my mobile from 08447362490 asking them to call back on that number. Searching that number indicates it s from Link Financial Outsourcing, a debt collection company.

Asked if I would answer a few Life Choice questions - hung up when I asked where he got my number from

Calls under the guise of senior citizens but obviously to sell vitamins etc...I have asked them to remove my number from their call list and they have refused...I have also told them to keep my number on their call list and to keep on calling me is now a crime and I am prepared to report them ALL to Ofcom...why can t they get honest jobs like the rest of us...seriously I do not need advice on vitamins...I could give you advice...cretins

Pest callers like this should be taken out and shot at dusk and then their bodies burnt and the warmth harvested to provide heat for the elderly.

Same here. I make it a policy not to say anything if I don’t know the caller.

I ve had the number call my mobile several times and never answered it. They never leave a message which makes me think it was a sales call anyway. I tend to get a lot of unwanted calls from recruitment agencies and wondered if it was one of those.
