He phoned me on Sunday in response to my ad and offered me the spare parts I wanted for my classic car. We agreed a price and then he said he wanted payment by bank transfer as he was about to go away on holiday. I was promised delivery by the end of the week but he later rang and said there was a delay and delivery would be next week and then he asked for my paypal details. These mugs keep calling my grandmothers house, so have them the wrong address and then I kept questioning who they are, and why they are calling. Unrecognised number, so didn’t answer. On calling, message says “the number you have dialled, is not recognised, please check and try again”. Blocking.

Left a voicemail message in automated American voice, instructing me to call back. Claimed they were the HMRC and if I failed to call I would face legal consequences. This is a scam I did not return the call.

Claims to be gas electric etc definitely a scam and certainly they couldn’t tell me what the weather in Scotland was like despite it being a Glasgow number.
