SCAM and idian guy says that you have done tax evasion

Claimed to be 02. Had none of our details just the phone number.

Recieved a fake Barclays OTP message from this number also containing a suspicious number to call for "help"

Telemarketing. My mobile flagged the number as spam so I answered with my usual 'can i help you' and a woman asked for me, i replied again 'can i help you' and she started talking so fast about some sort of market research. TBH i didnt hear what she was saying cus she talked so fast! When i tried to interrupt her she said something like 'im going to call you everyday' then hung up. Ive blocked the number now.

Said someone won bitcoin and wanted me to jump on a computer to show me how to claim 50k US dollars was very cautious so I said can’t you send me a Bank cheque and he hang up the phone.

8 AM this morning, automated call claiming to be "bank security" - went on to tell me my card had been used twice today - obvious scam as I use a building society wanted me to press a number to connect with their "helpline" - I hung up.

When I asked where he'd gotten the number from, he said I'd "opted in to receive calls from the company", which was bullshit. Selling some sort of finance/crypto scam. 020 8144 3803 Windows computer virus scam. They (whoever 'they' are) have been using the same script for years. In fact, this number goes back a while. They con you into giving them access to your PC, plant a virus on it (supposedly) then charge you £100's to remove it. Just hang up & block the number.

They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information.
