Supposed to be pc maintenance or windows tech support. Called from this number and also 004258967. 2 calls a day for 2 days so far. Indian sounding accents, very insistent and persistent . They said their number was 08000188351. Said they were calling with regards problems slowing down my oc on internet. I have reported to action fraud and suggest others do the same.
Gumtree scam. They communicate via a Whatsapp account called "TOY" with a sunset profile picture. They'll pretend to want to buy something from you (even asking detailed questions). He told me the finance was approved ready to pay out I had to give account details I did but I had money in the account I ended up giving my credit card details when I recieved a message saying if I authorised a payment I replyed no whilst on the phone to this person I lost my plot....! SCAM 01525383836 automated message rang at 8.00 today to say my debit card had been used abroad for £600 pounds! No mention of my name, bank, nothing. Very basic . Asked me to press 1 to speak to an operator!! Not a chance!!
A lady from Homespace Southampton called. Asked if I had a garden room or conservatory. I replied I m in a second floor flat and have neither. She then asked about my boiler. At this point I said the company couldn t help me and put the phone down. A minute later she was back on the phone saying she would only take on minute of my time and asked about my boiler again. I said I had storage heaters and was then asked if my boiler was over 8 years old. I got very angry and slammed the phone down.
