Calls from 01204311988 are from Goodwin Barrett. It’s their call centre. It uses a computer program to ring your number, and if you answer, and an agent is available to talk to you they will, but if not, some hear a ‘goodbye’ some a essage, and some hear nothing. So you can ring them back on their Freephone number, using 141 to make your telephone number appear to them as ‘anonymous’ and definitely at no cost to you. Have started calling me at least twice a day for about two weeks- they do not leave a message. If they didn t keep ringing when I am at work (and can not answer) I would answer and know who they are. Not ringing back incase it s one of those expensive calls.

These days it is well worth having caller display on a land line - mobiles have it anyway. So for all these callers, 0845-, unavailable, withheld, etc., just lift the receiver and drop it back immediately, or, on a mobile, answer the call and immediately shut it down. This stops answerphone message.
