I was called to day and the man asked to speak to my husband. I asked him what about and he said that it was about his HSBC holdings which needed assessing. I told him he couldn t be from HSBC as my husband died this year and HSBC were well aware of this. He apologised quickly and rang off.

She said her name was Sarah and claimed she had pressed the wrong number in her list of contacts. introduced himself as from TPS, Telephone protection service and then some scam about attaching a box to line to stop nuisance calls which they would charge 50p a week for for 3 years.Awful that they are masquerading as Telephone Preference Service. Why have the police not stopped this obvious fraud, vulnerable and elderly will definitely be taken in by someone saying they are from TPS,i was convinced at first?

now that i have seen the address and the location of the address, i believe this could be an agent for a charity that provides work for the blind. they then sell the products they make and pack via calls and delivery(very good stuff!)so i think it is legit. further i dont think they engage in cold calls only to people who have dealt with them before.

Asian person saying will only take a minute just wanted to ask a few questions. normally i just hang up but for some reason i didnt. asked me what my brand of tv is, how much i spend on holidays, who my electricty is with, my income bracket where i would go on holiday. dont think they are con artist, just gathering data so more companies can send you spam...should have hung up! waste of 2 minutes
