I was continuously rang by an Asian sounding male, calling himself "Sean smith" and claiming to be from the citizens advice beuro. I basically called him a liar, and asked him to take my number off of his system. He refused, and continued to call me numerous times, some withholding number, some not. Some calls I answered, but didn t talk, carried on like normal, some calls I let ring out. Do not trust whoever it is.

I rang the number back and they answered as The Claims Helpdesk and I hung up. It is obviously one of them accident claim people that get a list of numbers to call even though I haven t had an accident.

I received a call this afternoon from David from London Police Station informing me that fraudulent transcations are taking place in my account (approx. ?3100) and it would be best for me to relocate my funds into safe keepings. Called me and hung up immediately the ansaphone cut in. Tried calling them back but got a message that the number dialled had not been recognised. I suspect that it s a Skype type call from a foreign country - they usually come up with a number that looks like a uk STD code but could be from anywhere in the world.

Phone asking to speak to Mr ... (he had the correct surname) about a car accident Mr ... had had. When I asked which Mr ... (me or one of my sons) he said he would have to check with the insurance co and hung up. Things to note: None of the Mr ... on this number have had a car accident. The caller spoke in a very strong northern English accent. The line was really bad - he called a landline home number

Caller purported as acting as 3rd party for a Finance Company which I have just used (so far so good). Wasn t happy when started to ask for relatively minor details (address/post code) so caller advised not prepared to discuss further.
