Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!

The call was allegedly from Sure Cover to revise my life insurance cover, then they said I was eligible for a better price and they tried to pass me to another department but I hang the call at that point. I searched and I found an article confirming it's a scam.

Spoke to a bottom feeder on the end of this phone. He was abusive and rude. When I asked who he was he kept giving a nonsense name. When I asked to remove my number he pressed for more of my details. This is one of many numbers (the last digit keeps changing) Scumbags - share nothing with them

Called about 20 times from 8am on a Sunday morning to around 9am on the Monday morning. BT Call Guardian took care of it as the spammers/scammers will never bother to 'announce' themselves... they can't when they're using autodiallers to try and connect to as many number as possible. Text message claims to be a wrong number but then tries to lure into conversation.

Had a few missed calls off this number over a few days, then one morning at 5am, my phone woke me up by calling this number by itself on speaker. My phone is fingerprint/pin locked, and my applock app registered two failed attempts to access my phone's settings. Everyone in the house was asleep and I've yet to find an explanation. Phone completely scanned for malware and came up clean. Very perturbing.
