Pretended to be from Starling Bank and asked me to confirm a very large online payment. When I refused he became abusive. Sounded quite credible initially and from a well spoken English accent.

SCAM- 0128 240981 I've been bombarded by calls from similar 0128 numbers for past couple weeks. I finally answered this one today (28th October) and it was a lady with an oversees accent with echoey background noise saying she was from the National Debtline. She knew my name and kept asking me to confirm it but I didn't and I kept asking who she was then hung up when she said she was from the debtline. They don't cold call you and it's a totally different number so I blocked it.

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. He told me the "balance" and the amount was incorrect because I have my bill in front of me and an a real call wouldn't give me info since the account isn't in my name without other info. SCAM First of all said they were from Windows, wanted me to turn on my computer so they could stop the hackers who had been trying to get my personal information. They said if I didn't turn on the computer now they would block everything, stop it from working and the hackers would use my information to get access to my accounts. When I asked them to speak to someone in the house who works in IT security they rang off quickly.

(01615530059) i was called by this number at 19:05 on the 19th April 2023, when i answered got a noise from background then they hung up, when i called back got a recorded message with an american accent saying "your call is important to us, please hold the line and an advisor will be with you shortly" so i just hung up

SCAM They ask you to tell them the OTP - one time password code that they request to be sent to your phone. If you tell them the code they can order anything from Amazon Prime and use any save payment details associated with your account. DO NOT TELL THEM THE SIX DIGIT CODE!!!

TAXES / HMRC Claimed to be from "Her Majesty Revenue and Customs" about an official letter. (So many things wrong with this; American accent, mobile number, omitted 's, "her" not "his", etc.) Obvious SCAM.

Guy contacted me on Grinder - a gay dating app; and pushes you to register in a shady crypto website. He is very insistent, for days, sending messages, etc. I checked the reputation of the site he was recommending: coinup, and realized it was a scam.

Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.

Claim to be NHS track and trace but I have actually had contact with track and trace and they automatically come up NHS this is common mobile number that you can text back
