I was called on my mobile by 01256844744 at 10.31am saying it was From the Area Basingstoke, today 21st March 2022 I didn’t answer it ,

SCAM Answered and automated message telling me they are HM Revenue and Customs. Revenue and Customs never ring you. They send letters in the post. Scan!!

One of many similar calls, third time this week. Same automated female voice telling me that two unauthorized transactions on my Amazon account and an international money order have been made this morning and that I should press one or two on my keypad for further details, I hung up again.

Fraud The claimed to be from my home appliance cover. They tried to get my bank details (even though we are on direct debit so the real provider would already have it). When challenged they called back several times getting more condescending each time. We then phoned our actual cover provider and they confirmed it was a scam call. DANGEROUS.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Says my credit card has been charged and to press 1 if the charges were NOT mine. Somehow getting a call from Russia to say my UK credit card is compromised is a little bit suspect !

SCAM It's a scam, they have your email and name from some kind of attack and they say you have cryptocurrency. And if you recall that. I never had. They say the name of the company is blockchain database but that it doesn't have a website. When I said all of this sounded very suspicious (and they even asked me why) the reply I got was 'Damn!" and they hang up.

This phone number was on the side of a roofing van which tried to con my elderly in-laws into work that didn't need doing. I have reported them to the police and would suggest you review your 'trust' score.

Persistent calling purporting to be a bank (although doesn't say which), that has detected fraud on your account (?) and asks you to press number to contact them. This is a scam.
