TAXES / HMRC Received a recorded message from female with American accent, (similar voice to many other recorded calls threatening legal action). It purported to be from HMRC and legal proceedings have been instituted against me. Told me to press button 1 for further information. This is DANGEROUS THREATENING BOGUS CALL. The male voice said they were calling from my bank to inform me that a large sum of money had been sent abroad and a purchase had been made on Amazon. The instructions were to press number 1 or 3 to speak to someone. At this poit I hung up.

Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.

I dialled this number back because I could not understand the woman and I got a message saying "if this number called you it was probably a hoax call" ???? i've never heard that before!

Ozval se mně ženský hlas s otázkou, zda jsem jim volal. Odpověděl jsem, že nikoliv a demokraticky jsem se zeptal , kdo že mě tedy od nich volá!
