Received scam email allegedly from Santander claiming a scheduled transfer has been set up and to call this number if I didn't scedule this transfer (I don't have a Santander account).

THIS TEL. NO. 0208 064 1448 HAS CALLED ME SEVERAL TIMES RECENTLY. SIRLUTE SHOWS ON MY PHONE AS THE CALLING COMPANY. I HAVE GOOGLED THIS NAME AND IT IS APPARENTLY A CHARITY. THE PERSON CALLING SAYS THEY ARE FROM A COMPUTER SECURITY/ANTI VIRUS COMPANY.

The pre-recorded call, claims that you owe HMRC money are about to be Prosecuted. JUST HANG UP, IT IS A SCAM AND WILL COST YOU MONEY IJ YOU PRESS ANY NUMBER.

Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)

SPAM missed the call, rang them, all I got was music playing so presuming it was someone wanting to con me out of my money

Fraud. Artificially generated voice. Claimed to be HMRC and that I was being investigated and subject to a magistrate case for fraud. Then asked to press 1 to speak with them and 2 to ignore. Hung up and googled the number to see if others were reporting it too.

I called back the number and its a cover for a debt helpline, I went through option 1 (Support) as I was going to tell them to do one and the line dropped, so my numbers going to be going to every arse whose parents never loved them, who have become spammers around the world. Caller claimed to be from BT openreach calling about internet issues. They asked me to run a speed test and when I said I had 69 download and 18 upload they said that the difference was an issue. When I pointed out that it was always like that, and wasn't supposed to be the same they hung up. Obviously a scam.
