Indian man said he was calling from "England Claim Services" in Manchester. He addressed me by a bogus name I had given to a previous unsolicited caller. When asked he said the address was 96 Devon Road LU2 0RU which is in Luton. He gave me a contact number of 01624643245. He said I am entitled to a PPI payment of ?1826 but due to admin fees and taxes the actual amount I get is only ?720. However if I take out an insurance policy I would save the fees and taxes. They are a PPI company, I work for a different PPI company and these people give the industry a bad name. The agent I spoke to was rude and when I asked for my number to be taken off their list she said it was not possible. I asked to speak to a manager, he said he could take my number off the list,but before he did he tried to push again for me to sign up to them. Block their number if you can or report them to the FCA or the Legal Ombudsman.
First bugged me this number with calls in which no one was in it. Later I was able to start a "conversation". The caller said that he is calling from the british household department and had a few general questions. I said that I did not have time and he just hung up.
