An Asian lady, possibly Indian, and English not her first language, calling herself "Alesha, from Accident Helpline. I m calling about your recent car accident." I asked her to repeat her name, which she did. I then asked her for her surname, but she hurriedly hung up. Clearly a fraudulent company, wanting to prey on gullible people.

Dialled 1471, caller had withheld their number. 10.22am text message from above number stating I could be entitled for up to ?4999.00 in compensatiion for missold PPI on credit cards or loan. This number called me just now and it appears to come from Rugeley, England. As it's a number that's not on my contacts list and also a number I don't recognise, I don't answer and block it straight away. I am currently being inundated with these sorts of calls on a daily basis!
