one with an Indian accent and I told him or her (couldn't tell from voice) to remove my number from the calling list. They hung up. Shortly afterwards, I looked up Cambridge Joining Technology Ltd, which turns out to be a real company, and called the mobile number on its website and warned the man that his company name is being used. He didn't recognise the number.

Received a worrying call about an accident which I didn't have. Asked for details before being cut off.
Had the same call asked him for his name which he said was Stan Cooper which I doubt. Would not give up until I told him I was contacting the police he swiftly hung up.

When said I was just digging out the file to get the pension reference number he hung up, l am a pension administrator so can baffle them with terminology. Proves these calls are a scam.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
