Wasn't speaking English when I first picked up so didn't bother engaging
I've had two calls from this number on my work mobile. I missed the first attempt but answered the second a few minutes ago. She claimed to be calling from Curry's PC World in London and gave a London post code. Strange then to have a number with an Edinburgh area code! It appears that it's trying to sell phones. Very noisy call centre and a very bad line indicating that the call was coming from overseas, probably India judging by the accent. Block the number so you're never bothered by it again.

Knew my name and said they were from “my local bank” and wouldn’t say which bank. “Security questions” needed answering to reveal which bank. Load of scamming, conning nonsense and when questioned they threw a paddy. Horrible, horrible people.

Given as an opt out no from webuyanycar.com to stop receiving messages but when I tried to send message got an alert saying I would be charged for a premium rate text message.
Called on 10th Feb 2023. Man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. Told me our IP address had been hacked and changed from a UK to a US one. Obviously total rubbish and scam. Wanted me to speak to a 'very knowledgeable engineer' to connect to my computer and 'fix it'. No doubt wanted me to connect to and open a scam website. He eventually hung up when I told him I was actually a network engineer but was quite persistent.

Number 02071124802 phoned me and said they was from start up loans. www.startuploans.co.uk and wanted me to transfer them £58 for the loan to be secured under the insurance. They provided me with a person called Jamin bank details which straight away is strange for a company. I was told it was the managers details as money transferred to the company always bounces back. Well this was interesting! 028 4067 1515 (Banbury) just rang, it is Saturday at 10:55am. I did a quick google while the phone was ringing and came up with the Anglers Rest pub in Banbridge. Weird (I have no connection to the area) but seemingly legit. When I picked up, the caller said he was calling from Currys/PCWorld with a cheap mobile phone offer. I said I don't need a new phone and he said thanks and ended the call. The whole "using a legit number" is hella sneaky!!

This number texted me that my Apple Pay Wallet had been deactivated and to follow a link to re-enable it.
SCAM Answer machine message telling me that my monthly credit limit was all used up and I need to make a payment. Of course , all they want is your bank details. DONT GIVE THEM.
