Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

Been having this number phone both my mobile and house phone quite a few times this week. It all stemmed from a quick survey which I answered from a call on the weekend. (Such a fool I am!)Whatever you do don t agree to answer any surveys over the phone. I have also had many other calls from sales companies since I answered the survey. Heavily accented guy called claiming to be from First Nation bank with regard to PPI claim to the value of ?3000. Apparently they need to take commission (no win no fee) of ?200, but can only take this in the form of Google Play cards... (As if!) It s insurance on behalf of unite. They only phone if you tell them your interested in insurance. Also you are entitled to free cover upto 5k for a year but they are asking if you want more coverage. If you speak to them and you don t want it that s it for a year.

Definitely a scam call. London numbers don t start with 2 after the 020.
