Phoned saying they were from BT and I had a very serious internet problem - caller was clearly from India, so I asked him what part of England he was calling from and he said London, even though the number says Pickering. Alarm bells are ringing ... what an amateur setup. Call leads to a lesser used number from a geographical location (Bolton). Calls blocked. No one sound when I answered the phone.
Claimed to be from O2 and that I was overpaying for my O2 account (I don't use O2). Told me they would offer me a discount with no other changes to be made. Wanted to send a verification number that I was not to share with anyone else "even 02 staff". Hung up when they realised I wasn't falling for it - I strung them along for at least a few minutes.

It is a recorded message but it is a scam. And they are persistent. This is the third day in a row around about the same time each morning. It is clumsy but people may be taken in.

Call center Was a very persistent man who spoke so quickly I couldn't understan who he said he worked for (even after I asked him to repeat himself more slowly ) saying he could save me money on my phone mobile phone and constantly asked how much I was paying. Told him I wasn't interested and he continued to ask the same thing. Not told him if I wanted to do something about my phone and bills I would so so myself and he still continued. I eventually hung up on him when he was still asking for how much.
