This number phoned an elderly relative claiming to be Amazon
SCAM text message which reads ‘Hi mum, I smashed my phone. I’m texting from a friends phone but it’s going to die. Can you message me on my new number its 07554890734 x’. Clearly a scam as my son actually knows how to punctuate a sentence and always send two kisses. Dumb criminals.

Asked her what country she was calling from and what location which she wouldn't answer, she then wanted to know if I was a private or social tennant. call from this number Monday 6th March at 13.50 when an automated voice said I was about to spend £700 + on an Amazon order and that they had halted the transaction pending my pressing button 1. I smelt a rat and hung up then Googled the number to find this site. I'm confident it was a hoax.

I received an SMS that appears to have been sent by HSBC. This shows an one-time password for a transaction of around £983 and asks me to urgently call this number (03309124638) if I do not recognise this transaction. BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM! I have called HSBC (on their true number and not the fake number mentioned above) and they have confirmed what was obvious to me: THIS IS A SCAM. Your account is safe and has not been compromised. IGNORE THE TEXT MESSAGE and do NOT call that number. That's all!
