Automated call A number that shows up as a local call on my landline (without prefix)..However, it is followed by the well-known 7 bleeps and a pre-recorded message saying "Thank you for calling". I have received hundreds of calls of this type from numbers all over the country. Why it seems to be impossible to put a stop to the company that is responsible for these nuisance calls is something I simply do not understand.
Scammers based in Bath telling me I have won £500k in US lottery!!!! Didn t wait to hear the rest of their rubbish so hung up.

Certainly not located in Manchester and it is a private number not linked to anyone but the holder of this phone number. Not used for scam calling or other criminal activities, I know this as it's my personnel phone number.

He said they were having some problems which are affecting my internet connection but the call then disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never once phoned me when there's been problems in the past.
