Irish traveller scammers, they arrived in a pair to purchase goods with a fake banking app. Used every excuse possible. Probably a burner number but blocked. Sent them away without the goods and they called back trying to “show me the reference number” and arrange a call with bank of Ireland.

A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.

A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. He said he was going to pass me to customer service. I then spoke to the next Asian guy who said he would send me a message and to except it (phone malware). Automated "suspicious activity" message, mentioned £1000 foreign transfer. I let them talk to my answering machine and ignored. Interestingly, had another call 10 mins later, this time from 01732 896820 - they hung up immediately my machine kicked in. Probably the same scammer using different numbers??

They call you and ask you to chose an option via an automated audio. This will likely re-route your call to a premium number that they own. It is not a legitimate caller so do not answer it.

Allegedly I'd won 10-free entries into the Lotto for the 3-weeks, all I needed was to confirm my address and prove back details. Not a chance

SCAM Callcenter claiming to be a solicitor firm offering to add me to their group compensation claim against Mercedes and BMW for emissions defeating devices fitted to cars. I could get thousands of pounds in compensation. Same company uses many other numbers and does not honour cease and desist requests nor do they comply with the Data Protection Act and UK-GDPR requests to remove my details from their Database.
