Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. I said im sorry this doesn t sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address. Called as it s a local number to me (Amesbury) I picked up as could have been a trustworthy number. No sound after repeatedly answering "Hello??" after 10 secs heard garbled nonsense and the line went dead. Tried calling back had 20 secs of silence and no ring tone.

Birkhill underwriters called asking for my dad, asking if he had been in an accident. Wouldn t tell me where he got my details but told me he would remove them from their database. I don t normally answer numbers I don t know but did this one as the dialling code is from my town and could have been my work. Number now blocked.

They referred to me by name when I answered the call and asked if I had worked in industry in the past. As soon as I replied no , the woman said "ok then", and put the phone down. Block.
