Threatening call, demanding money, claiming to be from HMRC

It s frightening scam saying I ve committed tax fraud and owe them 2200 pounds. Pay now or face arrest court extra fees up to 29000 pounds. Identified himself as Ken Nolan with warrant number etc. Sounded foreign but convincing.

I believe this company is Harringtons Advisory ltd. PPI,Pensions,Accidents,Mortgages,debts, and other claims calls. I have found 67 phone numbers for them so far, and 35 of them end in 063. This company is under investigation by the Claims Management Regulator, but thats only for the PPI side of it. I have had nothing but hassle from this company. kept ringing, hung up. its a computer calling many homes at once, and when you pick up, if they have staff available they will talk. if no staff, the call hangs up and calls another 100+ homes. very annoying. if not a scam, probably selling junk or ppi that you wouldnt have bought otherwise. AVOID

This phone no keeps calling they are very rude and aggressive down the phone so I keep hanging up they don t tell you who they are they keep asking your name

Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

Threatened to disconnect internet by service provider presently after connecting to engineer. American voice not credible. Do not comply. Check with provider.

No idea who this is, number not recognised at all, but have called a few times. checked internet and no record of this number anywhere so can only assume its a scam or cold call

This person just rang me saying it was about a competition to win an I phone 6 and shopping vouchers- I don't recall entering a competition.

Just received a call from this number now. A guy called James was the caller and said he was calling on behalf of my bank as I had apparently been in contact with them, which I haven t and he had my name also. It sounded like he was giggling and chuckling whilst he was reading out his spiel so I hung up. Will be keeping an eye out for this number calling again so I won t pick up.

Just had a call from this number. A man called Daniel started to waffle about interest and stuff, I asked whether this was about PPI? He said it was about insurance and the interest and carried on talking about it, I asked him once again whether it was PPI. He admitted it was, I said I didn t have any, and he (rather arse-ily) said "Well, how would you know!? It s embedded in the insurance!" I said "Because I ve never had a mortgage, I ve never had a credit card and I ve never had a loan" He hung up.

Seem to have now blocked 0843 980 12xx where xx so far is anywhere between 01 to 51 - 47 just the latest. Last time i answered it from one of these numbers there was nobody there. Wonder if phone numbers of the call centre staff are also on their autocall list.
