Call center SCAM - was called by 524 5430 last week so blocked, then today received a call frm 524 5541 relating to insulation. These are such a pain, the government should do something about this.

Scam call claiming to be from Sky. Clearly with no understanding of broadband, and how Sky works. They try to get you to download software, it is criminal.

unknown number to me rang me saying they got my Number from Anna. Person was inaudible with Aftican type accent talking about ‘gear’ Made no sense to me at all so hung up. They made no attempt to ring me back if a number was (which it clearly wasn’t!) given to them by an Anna!!SCAM

Call centre spam / scam. Said she was from a company called MEA (I think). Claiming there was an issue with a life insurance policy, so there would be a problem with a payout. I don't know the company or have a policy with them.

Fraud the user of this number is posing as being from o2 and offering discount packages on contracts. They even sent me a txt with a pin code to access my account. This is a fraudulent call

Well spoken Indian man asked for me by name, gave me my address & postcode, said he was from Domestic General and had checked my paperwork and as I had not claimed I can have a discount. Knew what products covered and type of policy, and paid on direct debit. Said paperwork will be here in a week. SCAM Pretends to be from my bank, without saying the bank's name, referring to two specific transactions - but this is a recorded message! Then they ask you to press 2 & hold - that's when I hung up, I guess they would have asked me for account details. I just checked with my banking app just to be sure.

I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.

Lady with a very broad Asian accent from a busy call centre - lots of similar accents. Yet this is a Liverpool number ! She claimed to be from Currys PC World offering me a phone upgrade keeping the same phone number. No thanks. Probably a scam anyway !

Called me; recorded message started 'This is a Bank Notification'. We have received two charges . .' Obvious nonsense, I ended the call.. This has all the hallmarks of a potential SCAM. Do not respond.

Said he was my energy representative for my area postcode. I asked who he worked for, and after a pause long enough for it to be clear he wasn't going to answer, he continued with his script. I stopped him and asked again what company he was calling from. He then hung up! Clearly a poorly thought-out scam call!
