Caller advised his name was "Stylus" and calling from Vodafone about a promotion. Was clearly a scam call highjacking M to Gos phone number.
SCAM First a silent call to establish there is a number. Second call, a foreign voice, purporting to be calling on behalf of UK HMRC (tax collection) talking about fine/charge for an infraction, and inviting you to press 1 to discuss it.
The caller disconnected the call as soon as i answewed.

This is a Bedford number so it will be the scammers at J Talk pretending to be your BT manager. Somehow got my personal mobile number but when told the time of day he rang the company number immediately. BT, how do these people obtain private details, someone must be passing them on?

Like previous comment, got a call from this number. Said that it O2 with some discounts, sounds like a scam.
A message in a Chinese language was left by whoever dialled the number. Possibly automated. This happened today at 14:47PM and also on numerous occasions in the past. What is strange about this automated message in Chinese, is that I keep hearing it a lot and it is over a year now since this happened, the only difference is that, I see other UK numbers which was displayed on my phone and the same automated message is heard. I have no clue what the message is all about!

They did say I needed to make a payment and to answer emails. Phoned said my name then said its your bank we need to veryfi unusual activity on your bank account, give me your full name, address date of birth. I said NO, he insisted and I said NO, you have phoned me I don't know who you are he then hung up. I contacted my bank immediately and it was not one of their phone numbers.
