Lady claimed that unknown to myself I have a bitcoin account open in my name with 4.5 bitcoin in it. All I needed to do was prove my identity and she would kindly sort out how I could activate the account and claim my money. It had apparently been opened accidentally when I had clicked on an advertising link. Isn't that just too good to be true?

Nuisance caller. I will prosecute this person for cold calls. Sometimes there is no answer when I lift the receiver; sometimes a female voice says "hello" and hangs up. They may have set the number so that when people dial "1471" the nuisance caller is still on the line and instead of the BT response to 1471 my phone is rigged to dial the caller s number. I am contacting the police with a view to prosecuting the caller for being a pest.

Very rude, aggressive and annoying callers. Similar to most comments above. They ve hung up on me twice now when I ask them what they want. I run my own photography business and they seem to be trying to sell advertising. It seems to be an Oxfordshire number, with very strong Indian and sometimes west African accents. Block and don t trust these people.

A woman with heavily accented English called me this morning from a number with our local dialling code saying the call was from BT and there were reports that we were having trouble with the internet. No problems at all and I said so. She asked me to try the internet, so I told her I couldn’t hear her very well. She cut the call. Funny that! I phoned the number and was told it wasn’t in service!!

One to avoid so don't let them have your bank account number, or let them start a contract for you. Just had a new washing machine delivered then received a call from this number who wanted me to pay extra money for insurance. Then I chose to cut the call and contact the real D & G who assured me it was a rogue call!
This number called and a recorded voice told me my internet service would be cut in 24hr and I need to press button 1 to get further details.I did not press "1", I have simply blocked the number.
Another call from a similar number (02088813751) that I got a few minutes earlier, but with slightly different number, same location. I disconnected before anyone spoke this time.
