SCAM UK-Number locatet in Russia ..

Fraud: 09011490180 has been billed by Virgin Media as 3 outgoing calls from my Landline but my wife and I have not made these calls. The calls were apparently made on the 18th of April at 11.03, 11.18 and 11.40 with each call lasting exactly 11.06 minutes costing 35 pounds each. So far Virgin Media have refused to investigate these calls and demand payment. It is obviously some king of scam, which should be highlighted as soon as possible and safeguards put in place!

HMRC SCAM 07477 169835 - Just received a call from this number purporting to be from HMRC about a letter being returned and threatening legal action and to press One to speak to an officer. Recorded voice message was a female with American accent.

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Call from what sounded like a call-centre, caller had an Indian accent and said she was calling from 'Currys PC World' then asked me straight out 'can I ask you what mobile phone you are currently using? Samsung? iPhone' etc. I've never known Currys PC World to cold call with mobile phone offers so sounds potentially dangerous to me, possible data harvesting / phishing. Blocked.

Text Message Supposedly from DPD about driver attempting to deliver a package with invite to complete an 'application' via a link. No package reference number or similar in text - well dodgy.

Called my mobile and says O2 promotion, but then doesn't know my number to txt me the offer how is that possible!! Got to be a scam and I am not with O2 anyway.

Someone in Hong Kong, China used this phone number as job reference check purpose. This person tried to deceive the company for salary with his Fake CV, experiences and reference letter.

Number has been hacked, being used to scam - claiming unauthorised credit card use.

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Reported to the ICO
